Since I said that I was addressing a problem, I must give solutions, right? Then I started thinking, what is a solution to traffic? As much as I'd like to believe that there is a plan that will get rid of traffic FOREVER, there isn't. There are way too many people that drive in America. Like many of your comments (which I appreciate :D), you all feel the same way as I do about traffic. A lot of the traffic is caused because there is always someone out there on the highway that will always go 30 mph (seriously dude?) when the speed limit is 65 mph. I can safely say that we all hate that person, unless you are that person, then we hate YOU! So, to all those that hate that person, how do you feel about speed minimums? No that was not a typo, it is what I wanted to type....

(Google Images) (Okay maybe there isn't a highway in New Jersey that has a speed limit of 80 mph, but the speed minimum being 75 mph helps me prove my point. When all the cars are moving at the same speed, there isn't a bad hold up.)
Since my dad's brother lives in New Hampshire, we visit them at least 2 to 3 times a year. This means that we have to drive for 6 HOURS! On one highway that we go on, there is a speed minimum!! (whaaaaat?!?!?! they exist!?!?!?) The speed limit on that highway is 65 mph and the speed minimum is 45 mph. And guess what?? Out of the 50 times that we went there, we only hit traffic once on that highway and that was due to major construction!! (jealous?)

Clearly you have hit a nerve by blogging about traffic and the Jo Koy clip just verifies how practically universal (and comic) dislike of traffic is. So I'm going to go out on a limb here because I know that most people equate modernity with cars, but what about a working and effective mass transit system to cut down on the traffic? I spend a lot of time in New York City and I would never, ever, ever consider driving in it and I only take cabs under duress because of too frequent traffic jams. But, while not perfect, the NYC subway system does have a lot going for it. Another city where the driving situation is horrendous because of traffic is Denver, Colorado. The city is valiantly trying to improve its transit system but it's happening at a snail's pace.
YES ive thought about having speed minimuns as well! haha yay somewhere as it!! oh just something new to throw i out there, my mom just came back from china 3 days ago and took pictures of the traffic there.. and what it looked like was complete chaos. NO ONE and i mean NO ONE follows traffic regualtions. at all. -.- on a road that has two lanes, at least 4 lanes are obvious. at an intersection with traffic lights to help direct traffic, no one follow it. if there an opportunity, no matter if the light is red, the driver will go. and we all wonder why china holds the world record for the longest traffic jam...
I completely agree that there should be a speed minimum! I also think that people who choose to drive slow for whatever reason shouldn't hold up those who want to go fast. SO MOOVE! GET OUT THA WAY and drive in the slow lanes. It's hard to overtake those who are in the fast lane because there are people in the slow lane blocking us!
when my dad taught me how to drive he always emphasized "going with the flow". by insisting on making everyone go your speed, you are more likely to cause an accident.
